Stress Management

In our fast-paced world, stress is commonplace. How we choose to deal with that stress affects all aspects of our lives: mental, emotional, physical, social, family, etc. Unfortunately, many of us choose to hide our stress and tough it out alone. We’re strong and can deal with anything, right? Perhaps that is how others view us, and we feel we need to uphold that persona. However, being able to admit that we are overwhelmed and need help is the true definition of strength.

My approach to stress management counselling is to initially focus on the practical things we can do to alleviate stress short-term. Once the client feels some relief, we are able to delve deeper and focus on more long-term, healthy strategies to manage stress.
