Giving back

I have been a volunteer counsellor with different organisations over the years. I have been honoured to meet people from all walks of life. This time has given me more insight into a wider scope of issues that people struggle with daily. While my clients learned from me, they, perhaps unknowingly, taught me too, for which I am grateful.

As a person

On a personal note, I am a married 44-year-old mother to a 9-year-old son. Why do I tell you this? Because I believe it is important for you to know that I have not only academic but also broad life experience. I have worked through much emotional and physical trauma in my life thus far, so I am able to understand the depths of feelings clients present.
